High School Honors: Standout midfielder for coach David  Huoppi at Northfield Mount Hermon, a premier program that competes in the ultra-competitive New England West I prep school league. 30 points as a junior and 26 as a senior. Served as team captain as a senior. Earned Team MVP Award as a senior and Outstanding Effort Award as a junior and senior. Named to the Brine National All-Star Game. All-American (Team New England) and competed in the New England East-West All-Star Game. Also a standout hockey player.

When not playing lacrosse, Gus enjoys hockey, skiing and fishing.
